Step 1: Decide Your Application Mode
You can apply for a PAN Card online via the NSDL or UTIITSL portal, or offline by submitting a physical form at authorized centers.

- Form 49A: For Indian citizens
- Form 49AA: For foreign nationals
Step 3: Fill Out the Application
Provide details like your name, date of birth, gender, contact information, and AO code (Assessing Officer Code) based on your location.
Step 4: Submit Documents
Upload or attach proof of identity, address, date of birth, and other necessary documents. Ensure they are valid and up-to-date.
Step 5: Pay the Application Fee
The fee for Indian residents is ₹93 (excluding GST), and for foreign nationals, it is ₹864. Payment can be made online or via demand draft.
Step 6: Submit the Application
Once all details and documents are provided, submit the application and note the acknowledgment number for future tracking.
Step 7: Track Your PAN Application
Use the acknowledgment number to track the status of your application on the NSDL or UTIITSL website.
Step 8: Receive Your PAN Card
Your PAN Card will be delivered to your registered address within 15-20 working days.
